If you look at a crime map, Glenwood Springs might look surprising. Statistically, property crime can look high when measured "per 100,000 people."
But here’s the context: We only have 15,000 residents. In a town this small, a few incidents can make a percentage skyrocket. In reality, there aren't any areas where you’ll feel unsafe walking at night.
That said, we aren't immune to common sense. Don't leave your expensive mountain bike on the front porch and lock your car doors. It’s less about "dangerous neighborhoods" and more about "crimes of opportunity" that happen in any popular tourist hub.
